Foot Reflexology
Reflexology is a complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing; reducing stress in people’s lives can be key in optimising good health and building resilience. It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas.

Benefits of Reflexology:
Pregnancy Reflexology
Pregnancy reflexology is a safe and non-invasive therapy that involves gentle pressure on specific reflex points on your feet, hands and face. Reflexologists believe that reflex points correspond to different organs, systems, and parts of the body.
Pregnancy reflexology uses light pressure on these points to enhance circulation, encourage relaxation, balance your body's energy, and activate your body's natural healing response. The ultimate aim is bringing your body back into a state of balance.
What are some of the benefits..
* Promoting relaxation and help to reduce stress and anxiety
* Enhancing circulation and reducing swelling
* Can support with any tension within the body ie hips, pelvis etc.
* May encourage optimal fetal positioning.
* Preparing your body for labor and birth.
* Support with sleep.
* Promote general wellbeing during pregnancy leaving you feeling relaxed.
Good for mum and baby…
The calming effects of reflexology extend to your baby. As you relax, your baby experiences a chilled environment, potentially contributing to their well-being. It's a shared journey of calm and connection.
Reflexology can be introduced at any stage of pregnancy. Many pregnant woman find it beneficial throughout, but some prefer to wait until after the first trimester, this is personal choice.
As I’m trained in pregnancy reflexology, I can see you at any point during your pregnancy.
I recommend having reflexology at least once a month, you will feel benefit from one treatment. However it is important to remember that the benefits of reflexology are cumulative.
Conception Reflexology
Reflexology is a particularly successful fertility boosting therapy when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Apart from relaxation, it can also boost blood circulation, help balance hormone levels and regulate the menstrual cycle. It is particularly useful in cases of sub-fertility and can be performed on both partners to promote optimum fertility. Reflexology can also help clients undergoing fertility treatment (IVF, IUI, ICSI and clients on medicated cycles). The increased blood circulation seems to enhance the effects of medical fertility treatment.
KEY BENEFITS OF FERTILITY REFLEXOLOGY:
* It promotes deep relaxation, maximising the chances of conception. Stress is a significant factor that affects fertility as chronic/ongoing stress causes the body to produce stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These slow the production of reproductive hormones, making it harder to conceive
* It helps to normalise the menstrual cycle and correct hormonal imbalances. By stimulating the reproductive organs, it synchronises ovulation and improves sperm production
* It can help clients undergoing IVF treatment as the increased blood circulation seems to enhance the effects of medical fertility treatment. I work with clients up to egg transfer/implantation and then again after 12 weeks, once the pregnancy has become established.
Facial Reflexology
Facial Reflexology is based on the same theory as traditional hand and foot Reflexology however in this treatment the focus is on the pressure points located on the face. The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read what is going on within the body’s internal organs, central nervous system and neuro-biolgical system. The face’s proximity to the brain and cranial nerves makes Facial Reflexology exceptionally powerful in impacting the body systems.

The unique benefit of Facial Reflexology is that not only does it aim to help you improve your health and wellbeing, it can provide you with a healthy glow which can help you to look better and younger. The face will look and feel smoother and more toned as circulation is improved and muscle tension is reduced. Some clients call it their ‘mini Face-lift’ as Facial Reflexology helps to strengthen layers of the skin tissue and improve skin tone, making possible benefits such as tightening drooping jowls and sagging eyelids, smoothing and softening frown lines and diminishing the effects of the years. Whilst Botox might make people look relaxed on the outside, the added benefit of Facial Reflexology creates a feeling of wellbeing on the inside as well. Additionally, the body is encouraged to eliminate toxins as the body’s healing mechanisms are stimulated. Furthermore, over a series of sessions there may be a reduction in lines and wrinkles.
Benefits:

*Aims to improve circulation to the face and head area, thereby speeding up the exchange of oxygen, nutrients, carbon dioxide and waste products Improves lymphatic drainage aiding the removal of waste products and toxins
*Allows therapist to gain an understanding, through reflexes out of balance, of what is going on within the body's internal organs, central nervous system and neuro-biological system by looking at the face and skin
.* Relieves tension in the muscle tissue
*Relieves mental strain and improves concentration
